This “Privacy Policy” describes how your Personal Information (defined below) is collected, used, and shared when you visit our website (oxfordroad.com); communicate with us via the website, by email or telephone; interact with us on behalf of a client; or apply for a position with us. The website is operated by Oxford Road and throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Oxford Road.

By visiting the website or providing Personal Information to us as described in this Privacy Policy, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, and you expressly consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for the latest information on our privacy practices. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and a “last updated” date will be listed above. If the changes are material, we will notify you directly (for example, if you have provided an email address).

Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a physical address, an email address, or other contact information including, gender, occupation, personal interests, location or other similar information.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When You Visit Our Website. Like most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, we automatically collect and store information about your computer hardware and software when you visit our website, use our product and services, or visit other websites or services that link to this Privacy Policy. This information can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, internet service provider (ISP), and the files viewed on our websites (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), the files viewed on our websites, your operating system, access times and referring website addresses.

Information You Provide Directly to Us. Additionally, we may collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide to us directly, such as when you sign up for our newsletter, contact us through the website, download a white paper, submit a lead form or contact us via telephone.  This Personal Information may include your name, email address, work title, work phone number, location (city, state, country) and other unique identifiers.

As a general matter, whenever you directly provide us with your Personal Information, please be sure it is accurate and complete. We cannot be responsible for any information you provide to us that is incomplete or incorrect.

Be advised that by submitting your email address to the website for any purpose or use, you agree to have this email address included in our email mailing list and to be contacted by us.  As described below, you can opt out of our using your email address for marketing or promotional messages.

When Administering our Agreements. We collect the Personal Information of our Customers and Partners who manage and administer their agreements and interactions with us. This Personal Information may include these persons’ names and business contact information.

When You Apply for a Job. If you apply for employment with us, we will ask you to provide certain Personal Information, such as your professional credentials, educational and professional history, institutional affiliations, background checks, and information of the type included on a resume or curriculum vitae (such as work experience, education, salary, and languages spoken), as well as contact information to communicate with you about your application.

Information About Individual Consumers. We may receive Personal Information of individual consumers from our Customers and Partners in the course of providing our products and services. This information may include: Customer ID, IP Address, online identifiers, device information (e.g., mobile ad ID) and usage agent and data, and tracking pixels. Our access to and use of this Personal Information is subject to the agreements with our Customers and Partners and not this Privacy Policy.

Information from Other Sources. We may collect Personal Information about you from other sources, such as third-party providers and publicly available sources (like social media platforms). This may include physical mail addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and social media profiles. This helps us to update and improve our products, services, and records, identify potential new Customers, suggest products and services that may interest you, deliver personalized communications, and promote events or white papers. If you provide Personal Information to these third parties, including social networks, these organizations’ privacy policies apply to their collection and use of your Personal Information and not this Privacy Policy.

Marketing Information. We collect your preferences for receiving our marketing communications and details about your engagement with them.

Oxford Road acts in different ways when processing Personal Information:

  • We act as a Controller for your Personal Information when you visit our website or otherwise engage directly with us when you provide Personal Information. This includes Personal Information we may collect indirectly about you, such as from publicly available sources, our Customers, Partners or other third parties. We also act as a Controller for the business contact information we collect to administer our agreements with our customers and partners. Oxford Road’s collection and processing of Personal Information as a Controller to is governed by this Privacy Policy.
  • Oxford Road acts as a Processor (or Sub-processor) for Personal Information regarding individual consumers we receive from our Customers and Partners in the course of providing our products and services. In this case, we act as a Processor (or Sub-processor) on behalf of our Customers and Partners (who are either the Controller or Processor on behalf of another Controller) as set forth in the agreements with our Customers or Partners.  Where we act as a Processor (or Sub-processor) on behalf of our Customers or Partners, our agreements govern our collection and processing of Personal Information and not this Privacy Policy.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

To Provide Our Products and Services. We may use Personal Information provided by our Customers and Partners to design, implement and target ad campaigns on podcasts. This collection and processing is governed by our agreements with Customers and Partners and not this Privacy Policy.

To improve and Develop Our Website, Products and Services. We use professional data, log files, and usage data about how users interact with our products and services to develop and improve them. For example, we may conduct analytics to assess trends and usage to help us determine what new features or integrations our users may be interested in.

We may publish data about how our products and services are being used across our customer base. When we share statistical information externally in this way, the data will be aggregated and we will not identify individual users or consumers. For example, we may publish blog posts on trends or insights into how users are interacting with our products and services.

To Respond to Your Questions or Requests. If you contact us with a question or to request assistance, we will use your Personal Information to respond to you.

To Administer Our Agreements. We use business contact information from our Customers and Partners to administer our agreements and to interact with them.

To Provide Client Support. We also use your Personal Information to provide client support, such as resolving technical issues when using our products and services.

To Send you Promotional or Marketing Communications. If you have given us your email, such as if you sign up to receive our emailed newsletter, we also may send you promotional or marketing messages regarding new or changes to our products of services that may be of interest of you.

Where required by law, we will only send marketing communications with your consent. Otherwise, we will market and advertise our products and services on the basis of our legitimate business interests.

If you un from our marketing lists, we will continue to contact you regarding administrative matters as may be necessary and to respond to your requests.

To Improve, Secure and Protect our Products and Services and Users. We use log files to provide general statistics regarding use of the website, including how you use our website, what country you are logging in from (for analytics, export control and regulatory purposes) and to help improve the navigation experience. Your IP addresses are also collected and logged for security and debugging purposes, for example to track access patterns, investigate security events and incidents. For these purposes we associate automatically collected data to other Personal Information provided by you such as name, email address, address, and phone number.

 

Other Purposes if We Obtain Your Consent. We may use your Personal Information for other purposes when you give us consent to do so.

HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION

With Service Providers.  We may share Personal Information with our third-party service providers to support our website, products and services. For example, we use service providers for data hosting, application development, marketing, sales support and customer support. We may need to share your information with service providers to provide information about products or services to you. Examples may include distributing our newsletter, analyzing data or performing statistical analysis on your use of or interactions on our websites, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, supplementing the information you provide us in order to provide you with better service, developing and improving the products and services, and providing customer support.

We reserve the right to use or disclose your Personal Information if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate possible fraud or comply with a law, court order, or legal process.

Oxford Road, Other Companies, and Affiliates. We may share your Personal Information with our current and future parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other entities under common control and ownership to the extent necessary to fulfill your request or for other purposes permitted under this Privacy Policy.

Sale or Sharing. Except as may otherwise be described in this Privacy Policy we do not sell or share your Personal Information to third parties without prior consent.

When you visit our website, sign up for our newsletter, download a white paper or request more information about Oxford Road, we collect information automatically using tracking technologies, like cookies and tracking pixels. The website is owned and operated by Oxford Road in the United States and is subject US law. If you are outside the United States when you visit the website or engage in communications with us, be aware that your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us and/or our third-party service providers in the United States. By using the website, or providing us with any Personal Information, you fully understand and unambiguously consent to this transfer, processing and storage of your Personal Information in the United States, which privacy laws may not be as comprehensive as those in the country where you reside and/or are a citizen. Note also that your Personal Information may be available to the US Government or US law enforcement under appropriate legal processes in the United States.

DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION

All Personal Information is protected using appropriate physical, technical and organizational measures.

Retention. We will retain your Personal Information for as long as needed in order to perform the purposes for which such Personal Information was collected. We retain Personal Information that you provide to us where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements). How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information and how we collect and store it. After a reasonable period of time, we will either delete or anonymize your information or, if this is not possible, then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.

As described in this Privacy Policy, you may request at any time to access or update your Personal Information, or that we delete any of your Personal Information stored by us, by contacting us at privacy@oxfordroad.com. Following any such request, we will take all reasonable steps to provide, modify or delete your Personal Information as soon as is practicable, but some information may remain in archived/backup copies for our records or as otherwise required by law.

Regarding the marketing communications from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences for a reasonable period of time from the date you last expressed interest in our content, products or services, such as when you last opened an email from us or ceased using your Oxford Road account.  We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

The California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) (together, the CCPA) gives California consumers enhanced rights with respect to their Personal Information that is collected by covered businesses. This section describes how we collect, use, and share California consumers’ Personal Information in our role as a business, and the rights applicable to such residents.

Notice of Collected Personal Information. We have collected the following statutory categories of Personal Information in the past twelve (12) months:

  • Identifiers, such as name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number. We collect this information directly from you or from third party sources.
  • Internet or network information, such as browsing and search history. We collect this information directly from your device.
  • Geolocation data, such as from IP addresses. We collect this information from your device.
  • Professional data, such as your job title and company.
  • Other Personal Information, in instances when you interact with us online, by telephone or mail, such as when you sign up to receive our email newsletter, download a white paper, submit a lead form or contact us via telephone.
  • Inferences drawn from any of the above categories, alone or in combination.

The business and commercial purposes for which we collect this information are described in this Privacy Policy in the section, “How We Use Your Information”. The categories of third parties to whom we “disclose” this information for a business purpose are described in the “How We Share Personal Information” section of this Privacy Policy. The period of time for which we retain this information is described in the “Data Security and Retention” section of this Privacy Policy.

California Privacy Rights.  Under the CCPA, California consumers have certain rights regarding the Personal Information we collect or maintain about you. Please note these rights are not absolute, and there may be cases when we decline your request as permitted by law. These rights include:

  • The right of access means that you have the right to request that we disclose what Personal Information we have collected and maintained about you in the past 12 months.
  • The right of deletion means that you have the right to request that we delete Personal Information collected or maintained by us, subject to certain exceptions.
  • The right of correction means that you have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate Personal Information that we maintain about you.
  • The right to request information concerning the categories of Personal Information (if any) that we disclose to third parties or affiliates for their direct marketing purposes.
  • The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information means that you have the right to direct businesses to only use your sensitive personal information for limited purposes.
  • The right to appeal means that you can appeal any decision by us to deny your privacy rights under applicable laws.

Exercising California Privacy Rights. California consumers can use an authorized agent to submit a request on their behalf.  We may request proof that the consumer gave the agent signed permission to submit the request.

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days. We must provide the requested information or delete or correct your Personal Information within 45 days of receipt of your request, but we can use up to an additional 45 days if we let you know that additional time is needed.

Before responding, we must verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we have collected their Personal Information. We may ask you to provide certain, limited Personal Information, such as your name and email address to verify and match your identity with our records and systems. If you have an account with us, we may ask that you verify your identity through our account authentication process. This is also to protect against fraud. We will not retain this Personal Information or use it for any other purpose.

Also please be advised that we need to search our records and systems only for the preceding 12 months. There may be cases where we do not have any Personal information about you or we are not able to verify your identity for matching purposes.

Right to Opt Out of “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information. If you’re a California consumer, you also have a right to opt-out from the “sale” or “sharing” (as defined in the CCPA) of your Personal Information with third parties who are not our service providers (as those terms are defined CCPA). We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties, for example to data brokers. Nor do we share your Personal Information with third party advertising partners to deliver personalized ads on Oxford Road’s behalf on other companies’ websites or mobile apps. We also do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of children under 16 years of age.

When we are acting as a “service provider” (as defined in the CCPA) on behalf of our Customers and Partners, we will honor California consumer opt out requests for Personal Information they disclose to us.

Job Applicants.  We collect the following categories of Personal Information regarding job applicants:

  • Personal and online identifiers (such as first and last name, email address, cellphone number or unique online identifiers);
  • Categories of information described in Section 1798.80(e) of the California Civil Code (such as physical characteristics or description, social security number, driver’s license or state identification number, address, insurance policy number, and bank account number);
  • Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law (such as race or gender);
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information (such as browsing history, search history, interactions with a website, email, application, or advertisement);
  • Geolocation information;
  • Professional or employment-related information;
  • Education information;
  • Inferences drawn from the above information about your predicted characteristics and preferences; and
  • Other information about you that is linked to the Personal Information listed above.

We use and disclose the Personal Information to process, evaluate and communicate with job applicants about their application and qualifications for the position applied for, to check your references and to communicate with you about other jobs for which you may be qualified.

Other California Notices

Under California’s “Shine The Light” law (California Civil Code § 1798.983)), California residents may request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes, and those who have an established business relationship with us may also choose to opt-out from such disclosures. To do so, please contact us at privacy@oxfordroad.com stating your specific request and your name, address, e-mail address and phone number. Please allow a minimum of 30 days for a response. Note, however, this will not prohibit our disclosure of Personal Information for non-marketing purposes.

If you are a California resident under the age of 18, and a registered user of any website where this policy is posted, California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 permits you to request and obtain removal of content or information you have publicly posted. To make such a request, please send an email with a detailed description of the specific content or information to privacy@oxfordroad.com. Please be aware that such a request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information you have posted and that there may be circumstances in which the law does not require or allow removal even if requested.

Do Not Track. Please note that we do not alter our website’s data collection and use practices when we receive Do Not Track signals or other browser- or device-based privacy preference signals as opt-out mechanisms under the CCPA or any other U.S. state consumer privacy laws.

OTHER US STATES

If you are an individual in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK) or Switzerland, we collect and process Personal Information about you only where we have legal basis for doing so under applicable data protection laws in these countries (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, in the European Economic Area; the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom and the Federal Act on Data Protection in Switzerland).

If you reside in the EEA, United Kingdom or Switzerland, and we do not seek your explicit consent to process your Personal Information, we are relying on the legitimate commercial interest of our company in providing the website to you and the need to process your Personal Information in order to accomplish that legitimate interest, as follows:

The website may contain links to several other websites, content or services that are owned or controlled by third parties and not Oxford Road.  Any such links are not an endorsement, authorization or representation that we are affiliated with that third party.  Oxford Road is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites other than its own.  You understand that when you click on these links, any information which you provide to the third party is subject to that third party’s privacy policy and not to this Privacy Policy. We can take no responsibility for the content, safety, privacy or security of any third-party application, service or website.  We encourage you to review and understand the privacy practices of any third-party websites before providing any information to or through them.

NO RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES

This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any Personal Information relating to visitors to the website.

CHILDREN

Our website, products and services are not intended for or targeted at children under 18, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect Personal Information about children under 18. If you believe that we have collected Personal Information about a child under 18, please contact us as provided below, so that we may delete the information.
